My day on the Basin

Dear Tennyson,

A few weeks ago, a very dear friend of mine visited DC and I brought her to the Tidal Basin for the Cherry Blossom festival. Upon completing our loop around the body of water, we encountered a strange sight -- the picture you see above -- and hordes of homogenously raced couples clamoring to take a photo of the odd racial pairing (what is he anyway? Asian? Mexican?). I suppose one of the cameras belonged to one of the colleges you speak of (Bob Jones?). Funny that you mention it but I did see a mullet family but they were wearing Bread t-shirts, not Meat Loaf Reunion ones. It was a fantastic day at the Cherry Blossom Festival.

Hi friend. Who are those people on your banner? It looks like a brochure for some sort of white conservative christian college tyring to promote their interracial campus. Where did you find those people anyway? Were you taking pictures of strangers before your paddle boat ride around the Potomac? Did you happen to get any families with matching mullets and meatloaf reunion tour tee-shirts?
